We don’t mind admitting that one of our favorite pastimes is wandering the beauty aisles of our local drugstores. There’s just something so thrilling about discovering a quality, budget-friendly product that will leave us feeling pampered from the comforts of home. Read on for a comprehensive list of our top drugstore beauty buys from 2016!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint ($14.97): Even out your complexion and replenish much-needed moisture with this tinted cream foundation.
Best Overall Foundation
Maybelline Facestudio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder, Translucent ($8.99): This powder has been compared to the Laura Mercier setting powder and we have to agree. It gives you the most beautiful airbrushed appearance without looking cakey.
Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer Stick ($5.19) The price on this gentle, gliding concealer stick is certainly right, but we also love that you can easily pop it into your bag for on-the-go applications.
L’Oréal Voluminous Superstar Mascara ($10.99): We love that this mascara is a two-in-one with a primer—and that it also comes in waterproof. It seriously makes your lashes look long and voluminous and like you are wearing extensions, but without the hassle of putting them on!
Best Brow Products
Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer ($9.99): We love that the wand actually fills in your brows with small fibers to make them look much thicker and darker—your brows, but better!
Maybelline FaceStudio Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter ($8.99): This is such a beautiful highlighter! It gives you a glow without being too glittery or sparkly. The cream stick formula makes it easy to apply and looks so natural on your skin.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ($5.99): After discovering these on Instagram, they quickly became an obsession. They apply easily, are richly pigmented and last for hours. They also don’t look dry like other matte lipsticks can appear.
Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish ($11.50): By far, our favorite at-home gel polish! It lasts for several days without chipping and applies really easily.
OPI Nail Polish, Samoan Sand ($10): The perfect everyday nude shade.
Skin Trip Mountain Ocean Coconut Moisturizer ($9.99): This lotion makes us feel like we’re laying on the beach drinking a piña colada.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water ($8.99): We love using this product as a makeup remover as well as a general cleanser. It takes off even the most stubborn of eye makeup and doesn’t leave your skin feeling stripped of its natural oils.
For The Eyes
Enlite Super Face Check Your Bags At The Door Hydrating + Depuffing Eye Pads ($16.99): A savior for tired eyes! We’ve tried so many products claiming to help with undereye circles, but these actually work. Apply the pre-soaked pads while you get ready and after 20 minutes you’re looking refreshed.
L’Oréal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrtion Eye Balm ($19.99): This creamy, rich formula moisturizes the delicate area under your eyes while fighting wrinkles at the same time.
Pixi Glow Tonic ($15): One of the standout products that changed our skincare routine this year. We love the pre-soaked pads for travel, too.
No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum ($28.49): We use this daily both a.m. and p.m. We see a noticeable decrease in appearance of fine lines and leaves our skin glowing and looking fresh.
L’Oréal Paris’ 6 in 1 Cleansing Balm ($11.99): This two-in-one leaves our hair super soft, shiny and conditioned while still looking and feeling clean.
Garnier Whole Blends Repairing Mask ($6.29): You apply this in the shower after you wash your hair and it leaves your hair silky soft after it dries—it’s especially great for dry and damaged locks.
Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell ($19.28): Cut down your drying time post-shower and minimize extra steps while styling with this super-powered, smoothing serum.
L’Oréal Advanced Hairstyle Blow Dry It Quick Dry Primer Spray ($3.97): This product defends hair against heat damage and significantly decreases blow-dry time. Win-win.
