5 Things We Loved This Week

Today, we’re sharing what our editors were loving this week and what we’re looking forward to this weekend! As always, we love to see what you’re up to and what’s inspiring you, so be sure to tag your weekend snaps with #GG5things, #flashesofdelight and @glitterguide on Twitter and Instagram. Happy Friday!

Recipe for the Weekend: Joy the Baker’s recipes are always popping up on our Pinterest page (and with good reason!). When we saw this Cinnamon Roll King Cake this week, we immediately pinned it and knew we had to try it ASAP.

And the Oscar Goes To: Nominations are in! We’re counting down the days to the Academy Awards (gotta love a red carpet moment…), but until then, we’re trying to see as many nominated flicks as we can. Right now, our team favorites are “La La Land,” “Lion” and “Hidden Figures.” Who are you rooting for?

Dream Green DIY Makeover: We’re all obsessing over our features editor and graphic designer Carrie’s blog redesign. It is, of course, absolutely beautiful and so user-friendly. Congrats, Carrie!

Feeling Sluggish?: As we ease into month two of the year, we’re looking for any and all energy boosts. Something about hitting the ground running at the beginning of 2017 has us in desperate need. This article had some great tips for waking up refreshed and full of energy.

Five-Minute Journal: Kat of Waiting on Martha recently shared this Five-Minute Journal on its roundup of Morning Rituals, and it has quickly become our favorite part of the day. We highly recommend it, as it’s made each day seem fuller and more intentional!

  • Love this, Annie! King cake totally reminds me of being a kid growing up in Florida. That 5 minute journal is awesome- I do my own version of it as a nightly check-in and it helps keep me grounded.
    Happy weekend!
