Dressing for my second pregnancy proved to be much trickier than my first. My bump seemed to appear as soon as I got that positive pregnancy test and before I knew it, my jeans stopped buttoning and my favorite blouses left a little too much exposed skin showing. But with my newfound wardrobe challenges there was something positive—a ton of new options for maternity clothes that weren’t available with my first pregnancy. It’s crazy how things in the maternity and baby world changed so much in just 3 years! One of the lines I was most excited to hear about was Ingrid & Isabel’s exclusive collection for Target, Isabel Maternity by Ingrid & Isabel. Previously, I’ve owned pieces from the original Ingrid & Isabel line and was so impressed with the fit and quality and loved the fact that the brand was now offering similar styles at a more accessible price point.
On my own, I purchased several Isabel Maternity pieces I found in my local store and when the Target team reached out about a collaboration with Glitter Guide, I was eager to pick out a few more outfits to add to my growing maternity wardrobe. I’ve tried to limit the amount of maternity pieces in my closet this time and have picked out a few basics to get me through 9 months. I had so much fun mixing and matching non-maternity pieces with them. Today, I’m sharing a few of the looks that I’ve been wearing nonstop that Taylor helped me style, pieces that easily translate from summer to fall and now from fall to winter. Now that I’m only 8 weeks from my due date, comfort is KEY. With that being said, I like to remain somewhat stylish, too, and the Ingrid & Isabel line at Target offers just that.
First up—these jeans. I’ve had such a hard time finding great-fitting maternity jeans. I own a pair of Ingrid & Isabel jeans and was super eager to see how the fit compared to the Isabel Maternity at Target and I was so impressed! These are now my favorite pair. I wear them nonstop and love the kick-hem and ripped knee. They go over the belly and have a cross-over back, which I find to be most comfortable, don’t sag and I don’t have to tug on them to stay up all day. Hands down, these are my favorite pair of maternity jeans yet and you can’t beat the price!
I’ve been wearing this cozy wrap on cooler mornings and it will be great for nursing once my baby girl arrives. I’ve had several non-pregnant friends pick it up, too! Speaking of nursing, the line has the softest nursing henleys that fit perfectly over a bump. I lacked shirts that were easy to nurse in with my first daughter and have already asked for a few more of these tops for Christmas.
This is the only maternity blouse I got with this pregnancy, and I love that you can dress it up or down and it’s so comfortable and breezy. You can also unbutton it to nurse during postpartum, and it layers really well under cozy fall sweaters.
I’ve been wearing this cozy cardigan with my leggings too. It’s such an easy piece to throw on for chilly mornings and makes my leggings feel a tiny bit more put together. I have these over the belly leggings in both black and navy.
And finally—the softest, most comfortable maternity joggers on the market. I’ve tried a few, and you can’t beat the price and quality of these. I’m also picking them up in black because I wear them entirely too much. I love that I can run errands in them and not feel sloppy, but also put them on as soon as I get home to lounge around the house. The knit cotton is so cozy, the waist band is loose and there is a drawstring so you can pull them as tight as you’d like (which I much prefer to an elastic band at this stage). They are ideal for walking or doing yoga at home, too, and a great gift idea for any mamas-to-be in your life.
This shawl is so versatile that it easily dresses up a simple jean and tee combo, but still exudes comfort and coziness that I yearn for when all I want to do is snuggle up in bed!
