Breakfast, lunch and dinner are great and all, but there’s something about brunch that always leaves us feeling satisfied. We love the wide range of delicious foods that are appropriate to serve at this meal, and it’s a great way to host a gathering that isn’t as casual as breakfast, but not as formal as dinner. Caitlin recently styled new pieces from Target’s Project 62 line to create an absolutely beautiful brunch table setting and tablescape. What’s more, she is also sharing some drool-worthy fall brunch recipes, so get ready to be inspired to plan a brunch gathering of your own!
One of my favorite meals to host is brunch. There’s so much less pressure than hosting a dinner party and it’s my go-to when I want to get a group of girlfriends together. Most recently, I’ve been having ‘bagels + babes’ at my place and inviting over several of my mama friends with their kiddos. It’s proven to be the perfect way to vent about motherhood, indulge in yummy food and spend a Sunday morning. I had so much fun styling these new pieces from Target’s Project 62 line—it’s full of mid-mod essentials from furniture to bedding and tabletop. Setting the table was easy thanks to these neutral entertaining pieces that I’m excited to be able to use season after season. The stoneware dinner plates are such great quality and I love the little fringe on the napkins. I’ve had this affordable flatware on hand since the summer!
For my ‘bagels + babes’ brunches, I usually set out a spread of bagel fixings like smoked salmon, radishes, tomatoes and cream cheeses and then other small bites like fruit salad and a cheese plate. For a seasonal fall twist, I included a pumpkin butter to add to the bagels and figs and honey to drizzle on top!
I made the best pumpkin granola using a modified version of this recipe from Minimalist Baker (I skipped the nuts so it was kid-friendly), and drizzled some pumpkin butter in vanilla Greek yogurt for serving.
Brunch is not brunch without mimosas, and this time of year, I love to serve and sip Apple Cider Mimosas—such a delicious treat! I filled this decanter with fresh apple cider and let guests mix it with Champagne. This pretty enamel and copper tray and gold floor lamp are also from Target.
