Ah, spring break! The perfect excuse to get away after the post-holiday slump and before temperatures actually warm up in most of the country. Thanks to Instagram, we’ve been stockpiling a list of trendy hotels we are dying to visit—and spring break seems like the ideal time to book a getaway. What’s on your list?
The Line Hotel (Washington, DC): What DC offers in trendy restaurants and new boutique shops (Take Care and Brief Assembly are at the top of our list to visit), it lacks in eclectic and cool hotels. That was until The Line opened its latest outpost earlier this year. With drool-worthy interiors, live music nightly and several restaurants, we are dying to visit this new hot spot in our nation’s capital.
Quirk Hotel (Richmond, VA): What’s not to love about Quirk? The blush-colored giant Jenga game you can play on the roof, the coffee cups, the dreamy interiors, the adorable art gallery (we want everything) and the pink bedrooms are just some of the awesome features of hotel. It’s really an Instagramer’s dream come true.
Hotel Saint Cecilia (Austin, TX): Austin is at the top of our must-visit list for 2018 and this artsy hotel (it was created in honor of the patron saint of poetry and music, after all) is the perfect landing spot to explore the live music capital of the world. Comprised of a collection of poolside bungalows, suites and studios, this unique property will win you over with its eclectic rooms and impressive record collection.
Henrietta Hotel (London): We couldn’t help but include this incredible hot spot from across the pond—just look at that swoon-worthy bathroom! Located in Covent Garden, Henrietta is inspired by Italian design and does not disappoint.
TAYLOR DO YOU HAVE A GOOD PIC?
Ojai Valley Inn & Spa (Ojai, CA): This is a perennial favorite of our founder, Taylor Sterling. She frequents this dreamy Ojai hotel for spring break with her family.
21c Museum Hotels: The coolest hotel concept we’ve seen in a while, 21c Museum hotels are part hotel, part art museum. With seven locations and counting, the 21C hotels are ideal for any art lover.
Sparrows Lodge (Palm Springs, CA): There’s no doubt the Palm Springs hotel market is pretty saturated (and widely shared on Instagram!), which is why it’s refreshing to discover new boutique properties like this fully restored 1950’s retreat. It has an unexpected rustic vibe for Palm Springs and has just 20 rooms. We bet you’ll enjoy the daily breakfast served up at The Barn Kitchen that’s included in your room rate.
The Dewberry (Charleston, SC): Charleston is certainly enjoying its ‘moment’ as THE domestic spot to visit right now and we totally get why. It’s full of historic gems, colorful homes, a booming food scene, art galleries, the best shopping and, of course, the beach! There are plenty of beautiful hotels to visit (Zero George being a favorite), but the new Dewberry combines historic elegance with modern design in the best way.
Freehand Miami: Self-described as a free-spirited community steps from the beach, Freehand’s rooms are full of color, and the hotel boasts an award-winning bar and offers a breath of fresh air in the Miami hotel scene. Plus, the pool looks pretty fun, and the hotel offers complimentary bikes and rosé. We are sold!
The Gates Key West: For a touch of the tropics stateside, you’ll want to book a trip to Key West, and there’s no better place to stay than The Gates. We just want to cruise around in one of its blue bikes!
