A Look Inside This Vintage-filled Atlanta Home

Jessica Garvin: Home Tour

Jessica Garvin is a wife, mother of three daughters, and runs a highly successful blog and an Etsy shop. She’s got her hands full to say the least, but she has managed to make time to decorate, design and maintain a picture-perfect remodeled farmhouse in Atlanta that her family calls home. It’s full of so many amazing finds—both new (awesome wall art) and vintage (wait until you see the adorable vintage school desks), and she reveals all of her favorite places to buy home goods in this home tour below. Trust us, you’ll want to take notes!

How did you end up in Atlanta? What’s your favorite thing about living there?

My husband’s company brought us here almost seven years ago! We live quite a bit north of the city and it is just beautiful here. The pear trees in the spring and all of the horses are probably my favorite thing, but the people here are the absolute best.

You run a blog, an Etsy shop and raise three adorable girls. Any tips for readers out there who feel like they can’t do it all?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! I have no shame in the fact that I have babysitters 15 to 20 hours a week. Although I “work from home,” I work almost a full 40 hours, so it is important to me that my girls are still getting a ton of one-on-one attention and getting to do fun things, and it allows me to be fully present with them once I am finished with my work for the day! I have an assistant who helps me with some of my administrative work as well, which allows me to work in my strengths and not get bogged down with stuff that I am not good at, and gives me more time to be with my kids!

How To Purify Your Space For Spring

Speaking of your girls, their rooms are just amazing. What was the inspiration you were going for when designing their shared bedroom?

Thanks so much! I wanted their rooms to just feel super girly and whimsical, but also timeless.

We love the play space with the vintage desks. Where is your favorite place to shop for unique children’s furniture?

I get a ton of our furniture from flea markets or Craigslist, but for the kids’ stuff, I am a huge fan of The Land of Nod (now Crate&Kids) and IKEA!

Your home feels really inviting. Which room do you and your family spend the most time in?

Definitely our family room. Our favorite thing to do is curl up on the couch with the fireplace on!

You seem to have a knack for finding unique, vintage treasures. Any tips or places to shop for our vintage lovers?

We have an amazing flea market in North Georgia that we hit up once a month, as well as Scott’s Antiques in the city, a must-do if you are ever visiting Atlanta! I will also always love shopping for vintage treasures on Etsy.

Talk to us about your bathroom. That tub is amazing! What feel were you going for with that room?

The tub was actually here when we moved in. The master bathroom was one of the spaces already renovated and we were in love with the tub! We wanted our master bath to definitely have a spa feel, but I guess that’s kind of hard to do when the tub is always filled with bath toys and Legos!

You own an Etsy shop for chalkboard prints, so naturally, your home has some great wall art. Do you have any favorite places to shop for wall décor?

I love Minted, Rifle Paper Co. and Etsy for wall art. Also, my amazing friend Hannah Joiner Crosby has made a ton of the pieces in our house and they’ll always be my favorite!

Swan Décor

What items are always in your fridge?

Cold brew, fresh fruit, hot sauce, La Croix, and rosé!

Any beauty products you currently can’t live without?

Almost my entire beauty routine is essential oils! They have done wonders for my skin and I will never go back to expensive creams and serums. Also, Sarah Happ lip scrub and L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara for life.

    • It was a vintage find from a flea market, but if you search Etsy or eBay for old print or typewriter drawers you may find something similar!! ❤️❤️

  • Hi! I love everything you do! Where did the duvet/comforter in your guest (?) Room come from? Love the colors! Hope you are settling into your new home!
