Our very own Evalyn Duke is here today to give you the lowdown on how she looks so gorgeous every day. She’s a natural beauty, but she also relies on some of her favorite beauty products to get the look she desires. Check out what’s on her daily skincare and makeup regimen below!
I’m the graphic designer here at Glitter Guide, but I would also consider myself a product junkie! I love playing with and trying out different beauty products, but for my daily look I keep it fairly simple.
First I start with sunscreen. I love Drunk Elephant’s Daily Defense Sunscreen because I have minor melasma and this specific one is a physical sunscreen with zinc oxide, which is known to help with melasma and preventing other sun damage.
Next up are my face products! I do a base of IT Cosmetics CC Cream because it’s so moisturizing, has amazing coverage and SPF 50. Depending on what type of skin day I’m having and how much coverage I need, I switch off or use a combination of Glossier Stretch Concealer, which is non-drying, great for the under-eye area and leaves a glowy-dewy finish, or Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer, which is perfect for heavier coverage when I breakout. If I need a little mattifying, I swipe on Supergoop! Invincible Setting Powder because again, SPF, and I can throw it in my bag and reapply throughout the day if needed!
I always love an added glow so I use bronzer basically every day. I currently am loving Buxom Hot Escapes Bronzer because it has a slight golden tone but it’s not too sparkly, and it smells like coconuts! When I want a little more color in addition to the bronzer, I am a fan of the cult classic, Nars Orgasm Blush. It seriously gives life to the face, is the prettiest pinky gold hue and is said to complement any skintone!
Most days for my eyes I swipe on some nude tones from Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette and kind of call it a day there. At the moment for mascara, I am using Glossier’s new Lash Slick. I love it for day-to-day wear because it looks natural while still lifting and adding volume to the lashes.
I can’t go a day without some sort of brow product so I typically do a combination of a pencil and then gel to set it, or just a gel if I’m feeling more low-key! For brow pencils, I love NYX products. To me, they essentially do the same thing that some of the higher-end ones do for half the price. I love the Micro Brow Pencil because it mimics actual hair strokes as opposed to looking too thick or overdone. For the days I just want a gel (or if I want to set my pencil), I love Glossier Boy Brow and how it makes my brows look so natural and chic!
