The holiday season is fast approaching, which means it’s time to start thinking about things to put on your holiday wish list and presents to buy the special people in your life. If you need any inspiration, just check out our founder Taylor Sterling’s October favorites list. This list is chock-full of amazing finds!
- Autumn Family Mixtape
I can’t stop listening to these family-friendly songs that are inspired by songs I sang around the campfire as a little girl.
Emily is the author of many of my favorite children books: Dream Animals: A Bedtime Journey and The Wonderful Things You Will Be. She recently had an art show in Portland, OR that is about a 1920s goddess who worships a cult that wants to live on the moon. It’s also inspired by art deco style and pseudo-propaganda posters, which sounds totally cool to me. I’m pretty heartbroken that most pieces have sold.
- OneStep+ Polaroid Camera
I’ve always been a huge fan of Polaroid film, but have been using Instax for the past 6 years. I decided to invest in a new Polaroid and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. New favorite toy!
- The Lumière Lockets
I can’t talk about favorites this month without mentioning the lockets I created with Ariel Gordon Jewelry. They are so incredibly special to us and I have worn mine every single day since they came out of production. I will cherish them forever.
I’ve gotten very into candlesticks lately and keep searching for cool candlestick holders. Candlesticks of choice, Matilda Goad, of course!
Le Labo launched a new fragrance and I was lucky to be sent a sample. It couldn’t be more perfect for me. It’s dark, warm with a bit of sweetness, which is what I adore in a fragrance. A bit masculine, a bit feminine and truly unique.
I’m completely smitten with Makoto Kagoshima’s whimsical designs. They are each so beautiful and tell a story. I dream of owning one someday.
- Super Bloom
I recently stumbled upon this on Instagram and it’s such a cute idea. Lauren does cute embroidery on vintage/thrifted clothing. I can’t wait for it to launch.
