Color-blocking is a major component of Heathers fashion. Each Heather had a signature color, which they coordinated each day. I think they would have modernized it a bit with solid color-blocking and sleek silhouettes.

All throughout the movie, the Heathers wore blazers. Plaid and shoulder pads also made a big appearance. In 2019, there’d be a little less shoulder padding and a little more structure to the body.

Heather D. pulled off a really cute blouse-and-suspender combo in the movie. A feminine collar paired with paper bag trousers with suspenders is a super fresh take on a classic accessory.

Is she wearing a scrunchie?! You bet your bottom dollar she is. In the movie, the scrunchie was used as a metaphor for power since the leader of the group wore one to signify her popularity. You don’t have to be quite so metaphorical with yours, but you can definitely make a fashion statement with a scrunchie, bustier, and blazer.
