Taylor’s Favorite At-Home Workouts

I never thought I would be on Glitter Guide with my midriff showing, but here we are.

One of the most frequently asked questions I get in my DMs is about my favorite at-home workouts. It seems that like me, you also have very limited time and want to find ways to squeeze in a good workout from the comfort of your home. To be totally honest, I still prefer going to the gym or a fitness studio when there’s time, but with my hectic schedule working from home and juggling my two kids, it’s not realistic. For me to drive somewhere means I’m losing precious work time during the day. From home, I can do a 45-minute workout without much hassle. It’s been a great solution for me during this busy time of life.

I’m going to break down my favorite at-home workouts into categories.

High-Intensity:

  • CrossFit: I did CrossFit for years and loved it. I don’t have time to go to a CrossFit gym right now, but I still love doing versions of the workouts at home. I can’t do a lot of the more intense workouts with equipment, but it offers a lot of bodyweight options or ones I can manage with dumbbells and a kettle bell. This website has a lot of workout ideas that you can mix and match from depending on your level of fitness and equipment. Don’t be afraid to substitute different moves into a workout. Once you get confident knowing what works for your body, you can do this easily without hesitation. A simple one I do when I don’t have time to think is: 4 rounds of 20 burpees, 20 sit-ups, 20 push-ups and 20 air squats. *

*  These workouts are my particular favorite for a good sweat / burn. I like all of these workouts, but I’ve found I repeat these ones most often.
