The Best Beauty Products We Tried In 2019

One of the biggest perks of working for Glitter Guide is getting to test out all kinds of beauty products, from indie labels to new launches from some of the biggest beauty brands. We also all have different preferences and skin types, so we all love different things. Out of all the products we tried in 2019, these beauty finds were our favorites!

W3LL People Expressionist Brow Gel: “I was a diehard Boy Brow user, but this past year, I’ve converted to this brow gel from clean beauty brand W3LL People. It’s more pigmented and a little goes a long way. I can’t go a day without it, and luckily it is available at Target so it’s always easy to snag on the go.” – Sam

Aveda Pramāsana Purifying Scalp Cleanser:I’ve been really into taking care of my sensitive, itchy scalp this year. This product has become a staple for me. It feels so cooling and like giving my head a hug!” – Taylor

Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer: “This concealer has been around for a while, but I finally got around to trying it this year and it’s really impressed me. I’ve even used it alone as a foundation! I really like how lightweight and comfortable the formula is.” – Wendy

Sachajuan Volume Cream: “I rarely put styling product in my hair because it’s so fine and everything seems to weigh it down. But I love this volume cream! It helps give my hair some bounce, even when straightened, and doesn’t leave it feeling gloopy or heavy.” – Sam

Sothys Hydra3HA Hydrating Youth Cream: “This cream leaves my dry skin feeling super hydrated all day long. The best part is that it’s very effective, yet still lightweight, so it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. I apply it after cleansing my face in the morning.” – Nicole

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser: “I’ve really struggled with my skin and acne this past year and I finally got it to a more manageable state. So many cleansers irritate me, but this one has been so great! It’s gentle and removes makeup amazingly.” – Taylor

Milk Makeup Longwear Gel Eyeliner: “I stopped wearing eyeliner a while ago, but when I went back to coloring my hair dark, I decided to add it back into my beauty routine. I grabbed this eyeliner from Sephora on a whim and I’m really glad I did. It goes on perfectly and stays all day long without giving me raccoon circles under my eyes.” – Sam

Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette: “I attempted to get out of my comfort zone by adopting colorful new eyeshadow looks to my arsenal. Huda Beauty has the best palettes in quality and quantity.” – Wendy

Rahua Elixir Natural Hair Oil: “I use this hair oil after every hair wash! I love it so much. Since I typically air dry, it leaves my frizzy and fluffy hair looking wavy and defined!” – Taylor

Summer Fridays CC Me Vitamin C Serum: “This is my favorite serum I’ve tried in awhile. I love how it feels light but totally brightens up my skin. When I’m having a good skin day, I’ll just put this on and not even bother with makeup.” – Sam

e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer: “I didn’t understand all the hype about this product until I tried it myself. I love that this primer completely covers my pores and makes my skin looks so smooth and clear. Plus, the velvety texture feels so soft on my skin all day. It’s a must in my daily beauty routine.” – Nicole

Bathing Culture Mind and Body Wash: “I love this new brand and its sustainable take on bath and body care. This body wash is my daily go-to—I’m obsessed with the smell. And now it comes in a glass bottle that you can refill, so there’s one less piece of plastic in the ocean!” – Sam
