Wonderfully Weird Instagram Accounts We Love

I love the feeling of discovering a new, intriguing Instagram account. Especially if it’s uniquely weird. These days, more and more accounts on Instagram feel sickeningly the same—everyone following a formula for “success.” I’ve grown tired of it (even with my own account, TBH). It’s a breath of fresh air to come across a profile that stands out for not looking like the rest. Here are a few of our current favorites.

@idea.ltd

IDEA is one of my absolute favorite accounts on Instagram. Mainly they sell unique and cool used art books, but it’s their curation that really grabs me. It’s the ultimate mood board!

@diane_keaton

Diane Keaton is a whackadoo and I love her. I might not necessarily agree with some of the people she hangs out with, but her IG account is a fun expression of her quirky personality and trademark style.

@virgin_honey

Sabine Timm is an artist and photographer whose quirky creations have captured my heart. If you’re a fellow Pee-Wee Herman fan than I think you will also be drawn to her googly-eyed creatures.

@sashavelour

Sasha Velour relies on brains, beauty be damned, let monsters reign. If you wanna join the revolution, Innovate! That’s my solution. I love these lyrics Sasha Velour wrote and I think they perfectly sum up her wonderfully weird persona and IG account. She’s not just a drag queen, she’s a truly game-changing artist. Like Sasha says, “Be the strange you wish to see in the world.”

@amy.blu3

I’m always saving everything that Amadine Joannès shares. Her visuals have a haunted, dreamy vibe that really speaks to me.

@tina_alabama

Both Sam and I fell for Ingris Emaga’s film photography. She has such a great eye for muted, soft tones. Her portraits are ethereal.

@honey_fingers

I’m afraid of bees, but I’m fascinated by them. This account has been one of my favorites for the past two years. They take creative beekeeping to the next level. It’s a true art! They even make playlists.

@fist_nyc

Linda is a mixed media artist who is truly one-of-a-kind. I appreciate her perspective on art. Her dance videos are my favorite.

@beerbottles_chainsaws

Crystal is the co-founder and head of creative at A Very Good Job, an event production, branding, and content house, and we love her style. You won’t want to stop scrolling her IG page.
