How To Design A Wedding Tablescape

It’s a big year for weddings here at Glitter Guide! Our beauty contributor and bride-to-be Erin Gerlach is planning a summer wedding, and with just two months to go, she’s busy pulling together all of the details for her big day. Alongside her wedding planner Soha Lavin — creative director of CountDown Events — Erin is showing us how to create a stunning tablescape fit for a wedding (or even a summer gathering or celebration!).

A bespoke event is one that is focused on the overall impression in addition to gorgeous little details, all while keeping everything cohesively designed. There are a few things that come into play when selecting what you’ll be dressing the tables with. Begin by considering the table shape: are you working with a long table or round one? Do you favor a center arrangement that is high or low? And keep in mind when tackling vignettes that groupings of odd numbers (3, 5, 7 or 9) are often more visually appealing.
